Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Micheal Brewer!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, David Schapiro and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brewer shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hood pinned against the cage. Hood gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Brewer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

and Brewer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Brewer.
Brewer is trying to pull guard but Hood has him pressed against the cage.
Emile Hood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Micheal Brewer.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Hood takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Brewer has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Hood after a bit of a struggle.

Brewer stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hood swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hood is on top in guard.


Brewer escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Brewer will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hood slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Brewer controls Hood momentarily but Hood frees himself.
Brewer might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hood haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Brewer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Hood lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Brewer throws a big counter head kick but Hood avoids it with no problem.
Hood tries to close the distance and clinch but Brewer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Brewer goes for a double leg but Hood avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hood continues to drive forward.
