PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bart Cubbedge (ranked 1926 p4p, 222 weight class) and JJ Woods (ranked 2599 p4p, 286 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cubbedge steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Woods.
It looked like Cubbedge was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

JJ Woods seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Woods bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cubbedge 's guard.

Cubbedge has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Woods can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close second round but I would say that Bart Cubbedge will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bart Cubbedge .
