Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kole Easton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lio Rush!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rush steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Easton.

Rush has closed the distance and engaged Easton in a clinch.
Rush working aggressively here.
Easton digs a right hand underneath Rush's ribcage. Rush let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Easton tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rush smiles and moves away.

Easton fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Rush, pushing him back against the cage.
Rush has a couple of punches blocked by Easton.
Easton fails to pull guard.

Rush swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Easton breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rush moves into the clinch successfully.

Easton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Easton is trying to push Rush away but Rush has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Rush tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Easton wants to break the clinch but can't.

Easton wants to break free but Rush has control.
Rush swings wildly with an uppercut but Easton uses good head movement to avoid it.
Rush wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rush lands a right hand.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Rush creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Rush swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Rush misses with a punch on the inside.
Easton slowing the pace effectively.

Easton breaks from the clinch.

Easton rushes Rush and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Easton keeps control of Rush as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Rush lands on the inside with an uppercut.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rush fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Easton drags the fight down to the ground.
Easton looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rush is one step ahead there.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rush trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Easton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Rush is controlling him.
Rush postures up in Easton's guard and throws a big left but Easton blocks it.
Easton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Rush manages to get himself to full guard.

Easton won't allow Rush to sweep him here.
Rush throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rush looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Easton looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Easton wants to get up but he can't break Rush's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Rush is striking but Easton is not phased and passes to half guard.
Rush flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Rush throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Easton tries to stand and escape but Rush is controlling the position.

Easton is trying to work for a kimura but Rush is defending well.
Easton blocks the strikes from Rush.
Easton trying to control the action but Rush is working from the bottom.
Rush punching from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rush flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Still in half guard, Easton seems content to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rush closes the distance looking to clinch

and Easton decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rush's guard.
Easton won't allow Rush to sweep him here.
Rush throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Easton landing some decent shots from guard.
Easton passes into half guard.
Easton uses his free foot to push down on Rush's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Rush.

Rush swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kole Easton will probably get the nod.
That's time! Easton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Easton shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Rush's guard.
Rush throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Rush is striking but Easton is not phased and passes to half guard.
Rush missing with punches from the bottom.
Easton moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Rush.
Rush striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Easton has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Rush!
Easton trying to control but Rush is having none of it.

Rush is flailing around like a fish out of water, trying to land strikes.
Rush tries to strike from the bottom but he's left himself exposed and Easton has taken his back.

Easton lands strikes to the head.
You can see the frustration on Rush's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Rush tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Easton has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Rush is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
