Sepulveda has chosen Lady Gaga - Alejandro as his entrance music. Albert Ricci has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Albert Ricci!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 32 - 20 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alejandro Sepulveda!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sepulveda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Sepulveda fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Ricci has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Sepulveda has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Ricci is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Ricci throws a jab when Sepulveda was well out of range.
Sepulveda let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.

And Ricci counters with a quick kick to the body but Sepulveda blocks it.
Sepulveda wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Sepulveda walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Ricci checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Ricci throws a series of punches but Sepulveda moves out of range.
Ricci will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Sepulveda swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice takedown defense from Ricci. No joy for Sepulveda on that attempt.
Ricci appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Alejandro Sepulveda is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Ricci moves forwards but Sepulveda connects with a nice, crisp jab.

A looping hook to the body misses from Sepulveda. Ricci does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ricci gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Albert Ricci.
Well Sepulveda has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
