Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Khamid Osman Durnagoz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Liangchan Xiaodong!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Xiaodong closes this distance looking for a takedown but Durnagoz circles away.
Durnagoz closes the distance and clinches up with Xiaodong, looking for a takedown. Durnagoz pushes Xiaodong against the cage but Xiaodong circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Durnagoz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Xiaodong paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Xiaodong shoots in but Durnagoz avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Xiaodong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Xiaodong looks to move away, Durnagoz throws a big counter combo but Xiaodong just gets out of the way.
Khamid Osman Durnagoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liangchan Xiaodong.
Xiaodong gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Durnagoz counters with a left and a right that stings Xiaodong.
Durnagoz scores with a shot to the body.
Durnagoz shoots in for a double leg but Xiaodong sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Durnagoz cracks Xiaodong with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Xiaodong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Durnagoz is looking to counter punch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Xiaodong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Durnagoz as he avoids it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Durnagoz tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Durnagoz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Xiaodong.
Durnagoz tries for a takedown but Xiaodong sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Durnagoz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Crunch! Durnagoz slams his shin into Xiaodong's torso.
A solid leg kick lands there for Durnagoz.
Durnagoz fails to land the takedown.
Xiaodong goes for a double leg but Durnagoz avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Durnagoz continues to drive forward.
Durnagoz seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Xiaodong fails with a takedown attempt.
Xiaodong tries to keep at a distance but Durnagoz has taken the fight into the clinch.
Durnagoz tries to score a body lock takedown but Xiaodong shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Xiaodong wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durnagoz throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

Xiaodong shoots and misses
and Durnagoz counters with a straight right hand.
Xiaodong dives in and grabs Durnagoz's left leg, looking for a takedown. Durnagoz pushes down on Xiaodong's head and hops out.
A left and a right from Durnagoz both land. Nice combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Xiaodong swats away the attempt to clinch by Durnagoz.
Xiaodong sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Durnagoz scores with a leg kick.
Xiaodong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Durnagoz fakes the leg kick and cracks Xiaodong in the body.
Xiaodong circles away from the clinch attempt.
Durnagoz leaves Xiaodong with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Durnagoz lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khamid Osman Durnagoz dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Durnagoz tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Xiaodong manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Xiaodong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Durnagoz but Durnagoz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Durnagoz appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Xiaodong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Durnagoz defends it nicely.
Durnagoz lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

and Durnagoz counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Khamid Osman Durnagoz has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Liangchan Xiaodong.

and Durnagoz counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Liangchan Xiaodong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A head kick from Durnagoz lands but Xiaodong takes it in his stride.
Xiaodong is rocked!
Durnagoz tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Xiaodong swivels and escapes.
Xiaodong is still on wobbly legs! Can Durnagoz finish him?
Durnagoz shoots in looking for a takedown. Xiaodong tries to sprawl out of it but Durnagoz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Xiaodong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Xiaodong! But no joy.
Durnagoz looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Durnagoz backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Xiaodong's temple! It sends Xiaodong violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Durnagoz celebrates and the doctors try to help Xiaodong!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Flying Knee). Khamid Osman Durnagoz!
