The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jackson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Richter lands a nice hook to Jackson's body. Jackson takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Jackson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Richter's hands.
Richter dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Richter's head and hops out.

The crowd cheers as Richter lands an impressive looking overhand right. Jackson doesn't seem phased though.

Richter jumps into guard, dragging Jackson to the mat.

Richter looking for a guillotine here but Jackson defends easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jackson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Richter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jackson has managed to get both his arms back between Richter's legs - danger averted.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jackson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Richter's brow.

Richter gets control of Jackson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Richter will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jackson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Richter is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Hans Richter showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
