Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Oskar Schmidt (ranked 2684 p4p, 252 weight class) and Israel Montanyo (ranked 3806 p4p, 320 weight class). Schmidt comes to the cage accompanied by Sweet Dreams. Israel Montanyo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nice combo by Montanyo! Oh, that's hurt him - Schmidt falls to the canvas and Montanyo follows him into side control.
Montanyo tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Montanyo is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
