Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 12 - 2, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kron Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Elkemenchi manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Elkemenchi is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.

Silva is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

My spies in MMA Academy inform me that Silva has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

It looks like Silva might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Silva taking a breather but there's no such thing in a fight! Elkemenchi has locked on to a kimura from the bottom - he uses it to sweep and is now looking to finish from the top position!
