Hanagan comes to the cage accompanied by Guilty Until Proven Innocent. Panayotov has chosen Mad World - Gary Jules / Tears For Fears (Cover by Jasmine Thompson) as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Charley Hanagan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikolay Panayotov!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Panayotov takes one on the button.

Hanagan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Panayotov is looking to regain half guard here but Hanagan keeps moving and retains side control.
Hanagan creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Panayotov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Panayotov gets back to half guard.
Hanagan scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Hanagan is thwarting Panayotov's attempts to control the position.
Hanagan thows a huge punch but Panayotov dodges it nicely.
Panayotov gets back to full guard.
Panayotov is trying to control the position but Hanagan postures up.
Hanagan passes Panayotov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Hanagan working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Panayotov's thigh. Panayotov counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Hanagan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Hanagan keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Panayotov's head.
Hanagan slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Hanagan is trying to get an arm triangle but Panayotov is defending well.
Panayotov is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hanagan connects with a decent elbow.
Hanagan fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Hanagan lands a decent elbow from side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Panayotov is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hanagan off and has taken his back!

Panayotov is trying to stick to Hanagan's back but Hanagan is turning into Panayotov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Panayotov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Hanagan.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Panayotov wants to sweep but no luck.
Hanagan is in close to Panayotov's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Panayotov is trying to control the position but Hanagan postures up.
Hanagan missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hanagan with a flurry of punches that miss.
We've been hearing good reports from Hanagan's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Hanagan passes Panayotov's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Panayotov felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
