Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Taylor Madden (ranked 24343 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kole Easton (ranked 4767 p4p, 0 weight class). Easton has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Kole Easton has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Easton misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Madden.

Madden gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Madden kicks Easton off and gets to his feet.
Easton looks winded!

Madden has taken the fight to the clinch.
Easton is pressed up against the cage. Madden has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Easton down to the mat. Easton avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Easton is keen to just control but Madden is a slippery customer.
Madden wants to get back to his feet.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Easton tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Easton lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Easton is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Easton is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Madden has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Madden!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Easton is on top in guard.

Madden is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Easton presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Easton has Madden pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Easton pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Madden tumbling to the mat - Easton dives into Madden's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Madden's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Madden has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Easton after a bit of a struggle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Easton is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Madden can't fight it off and eventually Easton manages to take the fight to the floor. Madden looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Easton has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Madden regains guard immediately.

Madden pushes Easton off and gets back to his feet.
Madden moves in looking to clinch but Easton pushes him off.

Easton prevents a takedown attempt there.
Madden drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Easton gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Easton gets underhooks to prevent Madden's takedown attempt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Madden's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Madden gets tackled into the cage by Easton. Easton maintains the clinch.
Madden wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Easton has him pressed against the cage.

Easton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Madden fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Easton closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Madden to the mat! Madden manages to get full guard.
Madden pulls Easton in to control the position.

Madden is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Easton is controlling him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Easton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Madden works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Easton must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Madden pushes Easton off and scrambles back to his feet.

Easton closes the distance and clinches.

Easton has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Madden clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Madden tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Easton throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Madden because Easton loaded up on that one.
Easton wants to control the pace but Madden is squirming around nicely.
Madden's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Easton shoots in and bounces Madden off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Madden has his feet on Easton's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
