Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Domingo Chavez (ranked 299 p4p, 42 weight class) and Shane MacGowan (ranked 238 p4p, 35 weight class). MacGowan has chosen The Pogues - Streams of Whiskey as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Shane MacGowan!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacGowan slips a straight right by Chavez.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Chavez.

MacGowan throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chavez was covering up waiting for the punch and MacGowan finishes the takedown easily into guard.

MacGowan sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

MacGowan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Chavez fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. MacGowan looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Chavez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by MacGowan.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Chavez fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and MacGowan has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

It looks like Chavez has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as MacGowan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
MacGowan wants to control from the top but Chavez keeps moving.

Chavez manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. MacGowan manages to get himself to full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

MacGowan is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Chavez is aware though and is defending well.

MacGowan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Chavez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
MacGowan has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Fenrir MMA. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

Chavez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but MacGowan has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Chavez is looking to defend but MacGowan has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Chavez! MacGowan pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Chavez taps out and this one is all over!
