WVTSW S01 WK1A PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Bjj Steel (ranked 19947 p4p, 535 weight class) and Alvin Aguilar (ranked 10645 p4p, 542 weight class). Aguilar is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Drector's Cut by Kamikazee. Alvin Aguilar told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Hilo, with a TWGC record of 3 wins and 7 losses; Bjj Steel! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 21 wins and 14 losses; Alvin Aguilar!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Aguilar moves into the clinch successfully.

Aguilar felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Steel jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Aguilar is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Aguilar and Steel has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
