Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Starker (ranked 1433 p4p, 75 weight class) and Edmond Honda (ranked 1214 p4p, 66 weight class). Starker comes to the cage accompanied by Catrin O'Neill - Ar Lan Y Mor. Honda is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by E. Honda Stage Theme Extended. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starker gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Honda tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Starker's elbow.
Starker decides to pull guard.
Honda stands up over Starker, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Honda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Honda lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Starker is breathing heavily.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Honda connects with a nice short shot to Starker's temple.
Honda lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Honda thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Starker's head.
Honda working over Starker with some ground and pound. Starker looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Starker looks like he's trying to stand up.
Honda throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nice strikes from Honda there.
Honda trying to control from Starker's half guard. Starker has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Honda content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Honda is looking to work some ground and pound but Starker has wrist control.
Honda trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Honda lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Honda distracts Starker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Honda throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Starker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Honda keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Starker's head.
Honda throws a big right hand that misses.
Honda postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Starker covers up, he's hurt! Honda keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Honda and the ref steps in to end the fight! Honda can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edmond Honda!
Edmond Honda bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
