Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Michael Scarn (ranked 1378 p4p, 168 weight class) and Youssoufa Diallo (ranked 20980 p4p, 498 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Diallo's choice of entrance music: Africa soukouss. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diallo dodges the punch combination from Scarn.
And Diallo tries to counter it with a takedown but Scarn pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Diallo tries to score a power double leg takedown but Scarn sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Diallo somewhat.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Scarn. Diallo shrugs it off though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Scarn closes the distance and clinches.
Diallo tries to pull guard but Scarn forces him back to his feet, against the ropes.

Scarn wants the takedown. Diallo is fighting it off but Scarn persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Diallo's guard against the ropes.
Diallo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Scarn manages to pass to side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Scarn connects with a nice short shot to Diallo's temple.

Diallo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Scarn's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Scarn's back!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Scarn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Diallo.
Scarn's corner calls for a 1-2. Scarn obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Diallo is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.
Scarn is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Diallo is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Diallo takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Diallo is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Scarn off and has taken his back!
Diallo is trying to stick to Scarn's back but Scarn is turning into Diallo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Diallo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Scarn.
Scarn makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Diallo wants to improve his position but instead Scarn has moved into half guard.
Diallo moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Scarn is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Scarn wants to control from the top but Diallo keeps moving.
Michael Scarn overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Diallo catches Scarn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Diallo shoots for a double leg takedown but Scarn sprawls well. He's pushed Diallo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Diallo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Scarn to the mat! Scarn manages to get full guard.

Diallo drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Scarn dives on top into guard.

Diallo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Scarn slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Diallo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Scarn defends it easily.

Diallo wants to sweep but no luck.
Scarn has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Scarn not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

A very excited looking Michael Scarn rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
