Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marc Case (ranked 24758 p4p, 0 weight class) and Old Greg (ranked 4778 p4p, 0 weight class). Marc Case has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marc Case!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Old Greg!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Greg as Case shoots in.
Greg with the counter takedown but Case avoids it easily.

Greg gets the takedown into side control.
Greg is looking to take a break and control but Case is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Greg postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Case is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Greg has just dragged him back down to the mat.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Greg is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Case pushes Greg away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Greg gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Greg is looking to take a break and control but Case is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Greg decides to stand back up. Greg steps back and let's Case get back to his feet.
Greg defending well as Case loads up on a big left hand.
Greg feints the counter takedown.
Case really is a fat lump.

Greg is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Case's half guard.

Case manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Case keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Greg.

Case gets caught flat footed, as Greg shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Case working for submissions but it's allowed Greg to get to half guard.
Greg is trying to control the action in half guard but Case is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Case is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Greg pulls his head out easily.
Greg is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Case reverses the position - he's now on top in Greg's guard.
Greg is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Greg working for a triangle but Case defends it easily.

Case stands up and waves to Greg to follow him.
Case throws a head kick that misses.
Greg steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Case.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Greg closes the distance and clinches.

Greg gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Old Greg will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Case uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Greg.
Case shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Greg as he jumps to the side.

Greg has managed to clinch.
Greg tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Case manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Greg got a little sloppy there for a moment and Case has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Greg has managed to get both his arms back between Case's legs - danger averted.
Greg trying to move into half guard but instead Case has managed to sweep!

Case stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Greg throws a head kick that misses.
Case fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Greg is out of range.
Greg changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Case dives in for a single leg takedown but Greg sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Greg with the counter takedown but Case avoids it easily.
Case throws a right and a left that Greg avoids nicely.
Case moves out of range as Greg throws a body kick.
Both fighters circling a little - Case finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Greg closes the distance and clinches.
Greg dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.

Greg works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Case keeping moving, preventing Greg from controlling successfully.
Greg is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Case is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Greg stopping the sweep attempt from Case.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Greg wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving.
Greg pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Case is keeping the position for now.
Greg postures up.
Case might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Greg decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Greg shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Greg showed some decent athleticism there.

Greg is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Case is staying active underneath Greg, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Case slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Old Greg has got the better of the ground game so far.
Greg wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving.
Greg stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Case swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Greg won't allow Case to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Old Greg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Case drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Greg manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Greg has hold of one of Case's legs. Case is fighting the takedown attempt but Greg gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Greg trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Case is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Greg defends well.
Case is looking to stand up but Greg isn't so interested in that idea.

Case keeping moving, preventing Greg from controlling successfully.
Greg is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Greg trying to control the position from guard on top but Case is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Greg gets a clinch.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Stalling in the clinch from Case.

Greg pulls guard successfully.
Case has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Greg is proving hard to escape from.
Greg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Case stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Greg avoids the head kick by Case.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Case tries for a takedown but Greg sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Greg closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Case's guard.

Case pushes Greg off and gets back to his feet.
Greg takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
A solid body kick from Case.

Greg gets a clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Greg decides to pull guard.

Case avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Case decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Old Greg is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Greg shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Case manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Case has his feet on Greg's thighs here. He's pushed Greg off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Greg screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
