Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Castor Rollins (ranked 3610 p4p, 313 weight class) and Because I Can (ranked 2598 p4p, 247 weight class). Rollins comes to the cage accompanied by Ulfheonar. Castor Rollins has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 40 - 30 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Castor Rollins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 33 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Because I Can!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rollins scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
I Can shoots in but no luck this time.
Rollins slaps away a takedown attempt from I Can, before circling back to the center of the mat.
An attempted straight right counter from Rollins misses the target.

I Can fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rollins to the ground. I Can is now in Rollins's guard.
Rollins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst I Can is controlling him.
I Can wants to pass the guard but Rollins is keeping the position.
I Can wants to control from the top but Rollins keeps moving.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rollins can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as I Can controls the pace.
I Can wants to control from the top but Rollins keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
I Can misses with a straight left.
Rollins misses with a low kick.
I Can missing with a left hand there. Rollins was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
I Can lands a nice shot to the body.
Rollins displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
I Can changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rollins tries to avoid it but I Can manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rollins to the ground. Rollins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Castor Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Because I Can.
Rollins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed I Can momentarily.

Rollins plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Rollins dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on I Can. That did some damage!
I Can uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rollins.
Sloppy strikes from I Can. Those never looked like landing.
I Can throws an off balance right hand
and Rollins counters with a big head kick but I Can shrugs it off.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rollins ducks down and throws a hook to the body but I Can moves away.
Rollins takes one to the chin there.
Because I Can seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
I Can misses with a looping right.
I Can throws a lazy uppercut
and Rollins counters with a body kick.
I Can swinging wildly here.
Rollins pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
I Can dives in for a single leg takedown but Rollins sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Rollins staying out of range there.
No luck for I Can with that takedown attempt.
It looked like Rollins was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from I Can.
I Can throws a right hand that misses
and I Can takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
I Can fails with the takedown
letting Rollins counter with a right hand.

Rollins misses with a straight right.
I Can looks to score with a jab to the body but Rollins is just out of range.
I Can jabbing away but nothing is landing.
I Can throws a body shot but no joy.
Rollins scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
I Can with a poor takedown
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

I Can shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
I Can is trying to control. Rollins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
I Can is looking to advance position but Rollins won't allow it.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Rollins regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from I Can.
Rollins wants to stand up but I Can is controlling him.
I Can is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
I Can trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
I Can stands and throws Rollins's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Castor Rollins dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



I Can shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Rollins napping and manages to drive through into side control!
I Can wants to control but Rollins is keeping him busy.

I Can looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

I Can thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
I Can tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

I Can is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Rollins has escaped the position, nice work there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I Can looking to control but instead Rollins has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Rollins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

I Can is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Rollins doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time I Can.
I Can wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rollins keeps working.
We've been informed that I Can has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

I Can looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
I Can wants to pass to mount but Rollins is defending the position.
I Can seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rollins does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rollins blocking the ground and pound attempt from I Can.

I Can is trying to work for a kimura but Rollins is defending well.
I Can is keen to just control but Rollins is a slippery customer.
Rollins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Rollins.
I Can postures up in Rollins's guard and throws a big left but Rollins blocks it.
I Can is looking to work some ground and pound but Rollins has wrist control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rollins is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
I Can shoots for a takedown but Rollins saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Rollins lands with a nice body punch.
I Can has his takedown stuffed
and I Can takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

I Can connects with a crisp jab.
A left and a right from Rollins both land. Nice combination.

I Can fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Rollins to the ground. I Can is now in Rollins's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
I Can throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rollins works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Rollins keeping moving, preventing I Can from controlling successfully.
I Can looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
I Can not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Castor Rollins will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


I Can misses with a takedown
enabling Rollins to counter with a crisp jab.
Rollins avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Rollins was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
I Can fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
It looks like Rollins has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
I Can tries for a takedown but Rollins circles away easily
and Rollins counters with a straight right hand.
Castor Rollins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Because I Can.
I Can rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rollins counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Rollins lands the left hand.
I Can misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Rollins stuffs the takedown attempt from I Can. I Can gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
I Can doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Rollins counters with a nice uppercut.
Rollins lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
I Can takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Rollins misses with a low kick.
I Can goes for a double leg but Rollins avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Rollins continues to drive forward.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Rollins. I Can shrugs it off though.
I Can on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Rollins connects with a single shot there.
Rollins bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Rollins scores with a hook to the body. I Can takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
I Can drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Rollins throws a body punch but I Can moves out of range.
I Can tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Rollins defends well and I Can ends up having to push Rollins into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rollins is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that I Can can do to turn this around?
I Can shoots in for a takedown but Rollins shows good takedown defense.
I Can shoots in for a double leg but Rollins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rollins throws a body shot but no joy.
Rollins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rollins getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That kick from Rollins tenderised I Can's leg. I Can is trying to keep his angry face on.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Rollins.
I Can with a poor takedown
and Rollins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Rollins scores with a jab to the head.
Because I Can has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I Can looks to score with a jab to the body but Rollins is just out of range.
Rollins misses with a head kick.
A jab from Rollins does it's job there.

I Can drives through with a takedown into Rollins's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
I Can in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
I Can throws a big elbow that misses.

I Can looking to sit in guard and control but Rollins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rollins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst I Can is controlling him.
I Can trying to control the position from guard on top but Rollins is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
I Can throws a big elbow that misses.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
I Can trying to control but Rollins is working from the bottom.
Rollins will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Rollins moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Castor Rollins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Rollins scores with a jab. I Can acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
I Can has a takedown stuffed.

And that's the end of the fight!
Castor Rollins showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rollins, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Because I Can was interviewed post fight and said 'I'm so handsome i'm not surprised this guy was all over me the way he was!'.
