Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Im Guy (ranked 4869 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lobo Saint Artem (ranked 4952 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saint Artem shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Guy napping and manages to drive through into side control!
You can see the frustration on Guy's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Saint Artem.
Guy tries to bench press Saint Artem off him but Saint Artem keeps the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Saint Artem.
Guy swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Saint Artem has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Guy dives in and grabs Saint Artem's left leg, looking for a takedown. Saint Artem pushes down on Guy's head and hops out.

Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Saint Artem is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Saint Artem circles away and we're back to standing.
Despite the aggression on Saint Artem's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Guy tries to close the distance and clinch but Saint Artem swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Lobo Saint Artem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Guy is fighting off a takedown attempt but Saint Artem is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Guy to the mat. Guy regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Well Saint Artem has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
