Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shen Kuei (ranked 1508 p4p, 198 weight class) and Tor Troeng (ranked 2429 p4p, 293 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Shen Kuei!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Tor Troeng!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuei tries a low kick but Troeng avoids it.
Troeng wants to clinch up but Kuei keeps it at a distance.
Troeng slips under a jab from Kuei.
A little jabbing left from Troeng on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
A big right from Troeng misses.
Kuei throws a body shot but no joy.
Kuei ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Kuei misses with a takedown attempt
and Troeng counters with a right hand to the body.
Troeng steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Kuei. That one must have hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A thudding body kick lands there by Kuei!
Kuei closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kuei tries for a kimura but Troeng is defending well.

Kuei goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Troeng rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kuei's guard! Nice work there by Troeng!
Troeng controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kuei is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Troeng is controlling him.
Troeng looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kuei wants to stand up but Troeng is controlling him.
Troeng postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Troeng seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Troeng's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Kuei is looking to stand up but Troeng isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Kuei misses with a left hand
letting Troeng counter with a right hand.
Kuei lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Kuei misses with a takedown
and Troeng counters with a right hand to the body.
Troeng misses with a straight left.
Kuei dives in and grabs Troeng's left leg, looking for a takedown. Troeng pushes down on Kuei's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shen Kuei. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Troeng just misses with a punch to the body.
An attempted straight right counter from Kuei misses the target.

and Kuei counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kuei throws a right hand that misses
and Troeng counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Kuei defending well as Troeng loads up on a big left hand.
Troeng tries to clinch there but Kuei circles away.
Kuei's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Troeng connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Kuei scrambles back to his feet.
Kuei gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kuei throws a half hearted mid kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kuei. Troeng does a little dance to reset his feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
A jab from Kuei does it's job there.
Kuei throws a head kick that misses
and Troeng counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Tor Troeng will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Troeng throws a poor cross that misses
and Kuei counters with a straight right hand.
Kuei dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Troeng. That did some damage!
Kuei seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Kuei misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Troeng counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Troeng throws out a loose jab but Kuei uses good head movement to avoid it.
Kuei is looking to counter punch.
Kuei misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Troeng! But no joy.
Troeng throws a jab but it's blocked by Kuei.

Good exchange - Troeng coming out on top.

Kuei tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Troeng is able to avoid easily.
Troeng wants to counter the offense by Kuei and move into the clinch position.
Troeng scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Kuei is rocked!
Troeng lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Oh Kuei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Tor Troeng is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Troeng takes the fight into the clinch.
Troeng creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Kuei's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Kuei drops to his knees and Troeng pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tor Troeng!
