Quick Fight Championship PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Warner Dean (ranked 4978 p4p, 0 weight class) and Super Speed (ranked 6373 p4p, 0 weight class). Super Speed will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Speed has closed the distance and engaged Dean in a clinch.
Dean really is a fat lump.

Dean jumps guard and drags Speed to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Dean holds on and takes a little breather.
Dean keeping moving, preventing Speed from controlling successfully.
Dean tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Dean has his hands on Speed's head, controlling the position.
Speed trying to control the position from guard on top but Dean is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

That was a close round but I would say that Warner Dean will probably get the nod.

Dean postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Speed is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dean, into his guard.

Dean bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Speed's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Dean is working Speed over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Dean is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Speed sees it coming and defends easily.

Dean bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Speed's guard.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Dean, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
