Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Karter Kinshaw (ranked 1616 p4p, 188 weight class) and Edvard Grieg (ranked 1273 p4p, 150 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edvard Grieg!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kinshaw tries to clinch but Grieg is having none of it.
Kinshaw lands a leg kick that knocks Grieg off balance momentarily.
Grieg keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Kinshaw.
Grieg steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Kinshaw.
Kinshaw misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kinshaw throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Kinshaw closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Grieg misses with an elbow from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Grieg is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Kinshaw off and has taken his back!
Grieg thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kinshaw rolls, trying to escape but Grieg keeps control of the position.
Watch the back of the head! Comes the shout from the referee towards Grieg.
Grieg controlling well, preventing Kinshaw from escaping the position.
Even with his hooks in, Grieg manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Grieg punches the canvas rather than the man.
Can Kinshaw hold on?! Grieg is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.
Grieg struggling to land strikes to the head as Kinshaw covers up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Grieg lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Grieg throws strikes from the back but Kinshaw rolls nicely and manages to end up in full guard. Nice work by Kinshaw.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Grieg's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Grieg throws a strike but Kinshaw rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Grieg trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Grieg looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kinshaw is one step ahead there.
Kinshaw controlling from the top position.
Kinshaw won't allow Grieg to sweep him here.
Kinshaw working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Grieg's head.
Grieg throwing strikes off his back to little effect.

Kinshaw lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Grieg wants to sweep but no luck.
Grieg wants to improve his position but instead Kinshaw has moved into half guard.

Kinshaw in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Grieg tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kinshaw!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Karter Kinshaw!
