The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A punch lands to the side of Williamson 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cider misses with an uppercut. Williamson saw that one coming.
Cider throws a jab when Williamson was well out of range.
Cider swings for the body but Williamson moves out of range.
Cider takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Williamson keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Cider on the wrong end of a nice jab.

enabling Williamson to counter with a crisp jab.
Justin Cider is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Williamson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cider sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No luck for Williamson with that takedown attempt.

and Williamson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Williamson throws a front kick aimed at Cider 's knee but Cider avoids it well.
Williamson feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Cider s jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Cider lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Williamson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
A little jabbing left from Cider on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Cider tries to land a front kick but Williamson steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Williamson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Williamson showed some decent athleticism there.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Williamson drops an elbow to the side of Cider 's head.
Cider wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cider is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Williamson is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Cider wants to stand back up but Williamson manages to pass into side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Williamson has hold of Cider 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Cider seems comfortable defending it but Williamson has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Cider is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Cider is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Williamson couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Glenn Williamson tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
