Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dr Love (ranked 2232 p4p, 258 weight class) and Gavin Gagnon (ranked 3612 p4p, 361 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Gagnon's choice of entrance music: Hand Clap by Fitz and the Tantrums. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gagnon connects with a body shot.
Gagnon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Love. That one must have hurt.
Gagnon shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Love defends it nicely.
Love feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Gagnon shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gagnon showed some decent athleticism there.
Love is trying to maintain the position but Gagnon is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gagnon is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Love defends it well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
