The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Borta fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Poussin manages to avoid it.
Poussin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Poussin thuds his right hand into Borta's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Borta misses with a hook

and Poussin moves into the clinch.
Borta blocking some punches.
Poussin tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

We've been informed that Borta has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Borta throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Poussin creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Borta with a big uppercut! Borta tries to clinch up but Poussin pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Borta to the mat! Borta covers up and Poussin unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

In his post fight interview, Amadou Poussin started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
