The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tiote uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wilson.
Solomon Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wilson misses with a double jab.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tiote is defended easily by Wilson.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Wilson! But no joy.

Tiote has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Big Bear Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.

Wilson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Tiote manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Wilson has Tiote in his guard.

Wilson has his foot on Tiote's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tiote works his way back into a safe position though.
