Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tony Bunker (ranked 468 p4p, 54 weight class) and Colin Monroe (ranked 767 p4p, 89 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Colin Monroe!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monroe throws a head kick that Bunker semi-blocks.

Bunker looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Tony Bunker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monroe avoids the head kick by Bunker.
Monroe misses with a body shot.

Bunker appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Monroe has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

That kick from Bunker tenderised Monroe's leg. Monroe is trying to keep his angry face on.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bunker tries for a takedown but Monroe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bunker takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Bunker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've been hearing good reports from Bunker's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
