The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kuuppa tries to clinch but Brock moves out of range.
Brock keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kuuppa looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Brock swats away the attempt to clinch by Kuuppa.
Kuuppa misses with a low kick.

and Brock counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Kuuppa thinking.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Kuuppa enables Brock to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Kuuppa manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brock works over Kuuppa with some ground and pound from guard.
Brock is looking to work some ground and pound but Kuuppa has wrist control.
Kuuppa looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brock throwing strikes but missing.
Kuuppa knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Brock on the ground.

Brock postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Kuuppa is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Brock, into his guard.

Kuuppa has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Brock is looking to cinch up a triangle. Kuuppa throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Brock's body to avoid the submission. Brock has instead reached around Kuuppa's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Brock arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
