Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mamoru Date (ranked 120 p4p, 17 weight class) and Will Rock (ranked 78 p4p, 8 weight class). Rock has chosen I Wanna Rock as his entrance music. This should be fireworks!

Rock avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Date has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Fight Factory in the buildup to the fight.

Rock is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Rock lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Rock will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Date up against the cage.

Rock has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Date uses from the top position.

Rock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Date gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rock has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Date should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Rock has tightened it up now! Date should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
