Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of London, James May!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
May shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Klushinwa keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Klushinwa drives through and clinches with May against the cage.
Klushinwa tries to land knees in the clinch but May avoids the damage to the body.
May looking to slow down the pace here.
May wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
May blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

May looking to sit in guard and control but Klushinwa gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

May pulls Klushinwa in close to prevent any damage.

May looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Klushinwa passes into side control.
May wants to control but Klushinwa postures up.
May is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Klushinwa is staying active.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
May gets back to half guard.
May tries to roll over but Klushinwa keeps him under control.
May has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Klushinwa is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Klushinwa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching May on his heels. He'll look to pass May's guard now, I'm sure.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Klushinwa is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

May is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

May has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Klushinwa can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
May takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

May gets caught flat footed, as Klushinwa shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
