Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gordon Ryan (ranked 5031 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ross Glinner (ranked 5056 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ross Glinner!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Glinner circles away.

Glinner gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ryan accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Ryan postures up in Glinner's guard and throws a big left but Glinner blocks it.

Glinner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Ryan is aware though and is defending well.
Ryan is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Ryan lands a couple of decent looking shots.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Glinner utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Ryan passes Glinner's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Ryan is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Glinner is just riding it out for now. Ryan eventually gives up the hold.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Glinner is not content to let Ryan control the position.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Ryan shoots in for a double leg but Glinner sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Glinner is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ryan lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Glinner has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Glinner and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Glinner closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ryan to the mat! Ryan manages to get full guard.

Glinner has gone for a leg lock! Ryan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Glinner's guard.

Glinner is not content to let Ryan control the position.

Ryan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Ryan takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Ryan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Glinner can do to turn this around?

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ryan is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Glinner has managed to free his arm - good work.

Ryan is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Glinner defends it well.
Glinner is pressing down on Ryan 's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ryan tries to free his leg and advance position but Glinner is retaining full guard.
Glinner wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Gordon Ryan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Glinner leaves Ryan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Glinner is pushing down on Ryan 's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ryan is fighting to maintain full guard but Glinner has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ryan wants to sweep but Glinner has passed to side control!

Ryan tries to buck Glinner off but Glinner is having none of it.
Glinner lands some shots froms side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Gordon Ryan will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Glinner is trying to break the clinch but Ryan has him pressed against the cage.

Ryan decides to pull guard.

Glinner is working Ryan over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Ryan wants to sweep but no luck.
Glinner stands and throws Ryan 's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Glinner is working to tighten his grip on Ryan 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Ryan has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Glinner is really squeezing tight and eventually Ryan passes out! Glinner breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Ross Glinner!
Ross Glinner seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
