Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Arcidiacono keeps the fight on the outside.
Denzel Arcidiacono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Souza wants to clinch.

Arcidiacono stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Arcidiacono wants it to stay on the feet.

Arcidiacono is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Arcidiacono breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Arcidiacono lands with a hook. Souza tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Arcidiacono moves into range and clinches up with Souza.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Souza shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arcidiacono pinned against the cage. Arcidiacono gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Souza dives in and grabs Arcidiacono's left leg, looking for a takedown. Arcidiacono pushes down on Souza's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gilberto Da Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Arcidiacono closes the distance and pushes Souza back into the cage.

Nice takedown defense from Souza. No joy for Arcidiacono on that attempt.

Souza moves out of range of the body kick.
Souza changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Arcidiacono as he jumps to the side.
Arcidiacono clinches with his opponent.
Souza wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Arcidiacono has him pressed against the cage.
Souza is trying to drag Arcidiacono to the mat but Arcidiacono just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Souza.

Souza pulls Arcidiacono into guard.
Arcidiacono throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Arcidiacono throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Souza works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Souza looking for a triangle here. Arcidiacono is fighting it but it looks tight! Souza pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Arcidiacono is tapping out - this one is all over!
