Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Idris Onolunose (ranked 2608 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Harris (ranked 7060 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Idris Onolunose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Harris!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, David Schapiro and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Onolunose closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Harris quickly recovers to half guard.
Harris slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Onolunose stays in close to Harris's body and controls the position.
Onolunose lands a couple of elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Harris can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Onolunose controls the pace.
Onolunose keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Harris's head.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Onolunose is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Onolunose is working Harris over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Harris doesn't manage to clinch there - Onolunose circles away.
Idris Onolunose seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Harris steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Onolunose. That one must have hurt.
Onolunose fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Harris let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Onolunose just misses with a punch to the body.
Onolunose fails to land the takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Onolunose wants to clinch up but Harris keeps it at a distance.

Onolunose clinches up with Harris and pushes him back against the cage.

Harris is fighting off a takedown attempt but Onolunose is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Harris to the mat. Harris regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Onolunose fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Harris avoids it really well and circles away.

Harris drops his hands momentarily and Onolunose takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Harris takes an elbow to the temple.
Onolunose is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Harris can do to turn this around?

Harris has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Onolunose can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harris is breathing heavily.
Harris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harris wants it to stay on the feet.
Onolunose pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Harris back to the cage. Onolunose follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

Onolunose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Onolunose shoots in and drives through. Harris sprawls well.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Harris! But no joy.

Harris wants a takedown.
Harris changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Onolunose fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Onolunose lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Harris circles away quickly and effectively.
Onolunose keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Onolunose shoots in looking for a takedown but Harris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Onolunose's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Onolunose darts in and clinches Harris up against the cage.

Onolunose is trying to trip Harris. He has hold of a leg but Harris is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Onolunose persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Onolunose is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Harris gets caught napping as Onolunose dives in and scores a takedown. Harris manages to retain guard.

Onolunose has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Harris is trying to keep an underhook but Onolunose manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Onolunose is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Harris doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Onolunose.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
