Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jon Bones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Okino Naruhiko!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Naruhiko dives in and scores a takedown into Bones's guard.
Naruhiko is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bones has his foot on Naruhiko's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Naruhiko works his way back into a safe position though.
Naruhiko slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Naruhiko stands up over Bones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Bones knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Naruhiko on the ground.
Naruhiko lands a couple of digs.
Bones is looking for a triangle but Naruhiko pushes his legs off easily.
Bones on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bones tries to get out of the position.
Naruhiko stands up over Bones, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Naruhiko cracks Bones with a solid left hand.
Naruhiko won't allow Bones to get back to his feet.
Naruhiko postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Naruhiko is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Naruhiko is pushing down on Bones's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bones is fighting to maintain full guard but Naruhiko has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Naruhiko drops an elbow to the side of Bones's head.
Naruhiko lands with a punch from half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Naruhiko lands a nice short elbow.
Bones is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Naruhiko scores with a couple of nice shots.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Naruhiko working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Bones throws a strike from the bottom but Naruhiko passes into side control!
Bones takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Bones is trying to get back to his feet.
A big shot lands for Naruhiko! That's hurt Bones! Will he recover? Naruhiko fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Okino Naruhiko!
After winning the bout, Okino Naruhiko thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
