Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sheikh Amun Ghosh (ranked 1032 p4p, 141 weight class) and Slade Wilson (ranked 555 p4p, 82 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Ghosh might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Allah Gets Funky. Wilson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hypnotize - The Notorious B.I.G.. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sheikh Amun Ghosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 24 - 3, fighting out of London, Slade Wilson!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilson looks to score with a jab to the body but Ghosh is just out of range.
Nice body kick from Ghosh.
Ghosh bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ghosh is looking to slow Wilson down with leg kicks.
Ghosh leaves Wilson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wilson wants to clinch but Ghosh slips to the side
and Ghosh cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Ghosh jabbing away but nothing is landing.

Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard.

Ghosh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wilson postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ghosh is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wilson, into his guard.

Ghosh slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Wilson is looking for a triangle but Ghosh pushes his legs off easily.
Ghosh wants to control from the top but Wilson keeps moving.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ghosh drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ghosh jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Ghosh is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ghosh is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Wilson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ghosh connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Wilson's hands.

Slade Wilson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wilson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilson lands in his opponent's guard.
Wilson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Ghosh lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Ghosh slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing good reports from Ghosh's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Ghosh maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Wilson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Ghosh has cracked it and Wilson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Ghosh!

Sheikh Amun Ghosh decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
