Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Ryan (ranked 1406 p4p, 201 weight class) and Zsiga Venczel (ranked 2106 p4p, 284 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jimmy Ryan has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jimmy Ryan seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Venczel has managed to clinch.
Venczel looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ryan misses with a punch to the body.
Venczel misses with a shot to the kidneys.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Ryan.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Venczel looks to throw an elbow but misses.
A head punch on the inside from Ryan fails to land.
Venczel misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ryan misses with some punches.
Ryan lands an uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Ryan.

It looks like Zsiga Venczel has been cut.
A right handed body shot lands from Venczel.
Venczel lands with a right to the head.
Ryan stalling in the clinch but Venczel improves position.
Ryan tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Ryan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Venczel misses with the head strike.
Ryan can't find room to land a body shot as Venczel controls the action.

Venczel is trying to maintain a safe position but Ryan gets an underhook and turns Venczel into the cage.
Ryan prevents a body shot from Venczel.
Ryan gets through Venczel's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
A head punch on the inside from Ryan fails to land.

Venczel decides to pull guard.
Venczel looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ryan is one step ahead there.
Ryan is stalling in the full guard.
Ryan won't allow Venczel to sweep him here.

Venczel working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ryan doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ryan manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Venczel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Ryan counters with a crisp one two that drops Venczel! Ryan thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Venczel to his feet! Venczel is in big trouble!

Venczel is rocked!
Ryan displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Venczel throws out the jab.
Ryan lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Venczel is still on wobbly legs! Can Ryan finish him?
Venczel wants to clinch but Ryan slips to the side

and Ryan counters with a HUGE slam that knocks Venczel out cold!!! When he eventually wakes up, that one's gunna hurt!
