Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hiroshi Ekaku (ranked 863 p4p, 105 weight class) and Midick Aiken (ranked 658 p4p, 82 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Hiroshi Ekaku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 5 - 1, fighting out of New York, Midick Aiken!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ekaku misses the jab.

Ekaku has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aiken.
Ekaku catches Aiken with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Aiken throws a lazy right hand but Ekaku sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Aiken works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ekaku motions for Aiken to come forward. Ekaku throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Ekaku throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Ekaku throws a body punch but Aiken moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ekaku looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Ekaku ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aiken moves away.

Ekaku dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Aiken. That did some damage!

Ekaku connects with a good right hand that stumbles Aiken. Aiken circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Ekaku throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Aiken sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Aiken is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ekaku had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Aiken uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ekaku.

Ekaku takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Aiken dips to his left and cracks Ekaku with an uppercut!

A looping hook to the body misses from Aiken. Ekaku does a little dance to reset his feet.
Ekaku throws out a loose jab but Aiken uses good head movement to avoid it.

and Aiken counters with a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ekaku bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Ekaku moves out of range of the strikes.

Aiken lands with an overhand left.
Aiken walks into a straight right hand from Ekaku.
A slow jab from Ekaku misses its intended target.
Aiken let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Ekaku throws a nice inside leg kick.

Aiken lands with an uppercut that bounces Ekaku off the cage and back into range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Midick Aiken will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Ekaku connects with a stiff jab that staggers Aiken - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Hiroshi Ekaku!
