Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Manowaru (ranked 268 p4p, 10 weight class) and Jimmu Tenno Hantei (ranked 638 p4p, 23 weight class). Hantei is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Triarii - Emperor Of The Sun. Hiro Manowaru has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been told by Manowaru's head coaches at The Wild Beasts Zoo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Hantei unleashes a big counter combination but Manowaru bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Manowaru throws a push kick but Hantei slaps the foot to one side.

and Hantei connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

We've been informed that Hantei has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
A punch lands to the side of Hantei 's head but he takes it in his stride.

It looks like Jimmu Tenno Hantei has been cut.

Manowaru uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Hantei.

Hantei throws the left hand but Manowaru avoids the punch easily.
Manowaru swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

The crowd cheers as Manowaru lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hantei doesn't seem phased though.
Manowaru throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

and Hantei counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Manowaru.
Manowaru explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Manowaru moves out of range of the strikes.
Hantei throws a body punch but Manowaru moves out of range.
Hantei throws a big shot that misses.

A little feinted left hand from Manowaru on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Manowaru doesn't manage to clinch there - Hantei circles away.
Hantei throws a body shot but no joy.
Manowaru ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hantei moves away.
Manowaru lands a nice shot to the body.
Hantei looks winded!
Manowaru cracks a nice hook into Hantei's ribs.
Hantei looks to land a right hand but Manowaru moved out of range.
Manowaru lands a nice leg kick that just misses Hantei's sensitive parts.
A nice inside leg kick there by Manowaru. That's going to slow Hantei down.

That has opened up Jimmu Tenno Hantei's cut even more.
Hantei slips a jab from Manowaru.
Hantei fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hantei takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hiro Manowaru dominated that round.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Manowaru loads up on a big right hand but Hantei slips the punch.
Manowaru throws a looping overhand right but Hantei ducks down to avoid it.
Hantei throws out a counter right but Manowaru avoids it with no problem.
Manowaru throws a lazy right hand but Hantei sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A big left from Manowaru misses.
Hantei looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Hantei might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Manowaru has got the better of the exchanges.

The cut above Jimmu Tenno Hantei's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As Hantei backs away, Manowaru returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Manowaru cracks Hantei with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Manowaru misses the shot to the body.
Hantei takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Manowaru paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Nice uppercut lands for Manowaru. That snapped Hantei's head back.

Jimmu Tenno Hantei's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Hantei's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Manowaru throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hiro Manowaru is winning the standup battle so far.
Hantei is breathing heavily.
Hantei misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Manowaru.
Manowaru digs a good hook to Hantei's body.
Manowaru moves away from the strike by Hantei.
Manowaru scores with a jab to the body.
Manowaru is looking to slow Hantei down with leg kicks.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jimmu Tenno Hantei's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:10 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Hiro Manowaru!

A relieved looking Hiro Manowaru thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
Jimmu Tenno Hantei spoke after the fight, saying 'Being brave means to know something is scary, difficult, and dangerous, and doing it anyway, because the possibility of winning the fight is worth the chance of losing it.'.
