The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Villa does no damage.
Tagirbekov scores with a jab to the jaw.
Villa walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Tagirbekov scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Villa doesn't seem bothered though.
Tagirbekov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Villa is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Villa tries to work over Tagirbekov's front leg with a kick but Tagirbekov checks it.
Tagirbekov keeps the fight on the outside.
Tagirbekov connects with the punch.
Tagirbekov fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Villa is rocked!
Juan Villa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
BOOM! Tagirbekov lands a beautiful left hook that drops Villa. Villa tries to recover but Tagirbekov is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Villa lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

After the fight, Ruslan Tagirbekov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
