PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nig Nig (ranked 1099 p4p, 161 weight class) and YB Sol Brotha (ranked 1186 p4p, 177 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nig Nig!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, YB Sol Brotha!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nig looks to land a left hand but Sol Brotha moved out of range nicely.
Nig on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
We've been told by Nig's head coaches at Runts Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Nig with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Sol Brotha to score with a decent uppercut.
Nig throws a jab but it's blocked by Sol Brotha.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sol Brotha has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Sol Brotha has control of Nig's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Nig regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Nig Nig will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to YB Sol Brotha.
