Waters comes to the cage accompanied by Crushing Ice - Chris Travis. Steve Mon has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Tyrone Waters's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steve Mon!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mon moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Mon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Waters checks a low kick from Mon.
Mon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Mon scores with a head kick. Waters tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
It looks like Tyrone Waters has been cut.
Waters drops his hands momentarily and Mon takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Mon looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Mon tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
It looked like Waters wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Mon has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Waters is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Nice defenses there by Mon.
Mon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Waters stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Mon throws a lazy uppercut
and Waters counters with a straight right hand.
It looks like Steve Mon has been cut.
Waters takes a kick to the side of the head.

enabling Waters to counter with a crisp jab.

Mon lands a nice leg kick that just misses Waters's sensitive parts.

and Waters counters with a crisp right hand that drops Mon! Waters lets Mon back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

We've been told by Waters's head coaches at No Limit that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

An attempted straight right counter from Waters misses the target.
Mon throws a jab but it's blocked by Waters.
A little feinted left hand from Waters on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Waters's corner calls for a 1-2. Waters obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Waters appears to be looking for a big counter.
Mon seems to have recovered his senses.
Mon throws a sloppy head kick
and Waters counters with a powerful cross that connects right on the chin and the lights go out! A massive one punch knock out!

Tyrone Waters was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
