Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James McGuire (ranked 1932 p4p, 271 weight class) and John Kordic (ranked 2162 p4p, 300 weight class). McGuire's entrance music is Metallica - Enter Sandman . A fine choice. Kordic has chosen Sleep Now In The Fire as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kordic lands with an overhand left.
McGuire throws a right hand that misses

and Kordic holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Kordic fails to land.

Kordic manages to break the clinch.
Kordic lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like James McGuire has been cut.
Kordic tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A counter left hand to the body from McGuire misses its target.

McGuire moves into the clinch successfully.
Kordic misses with a short punch on the inside.
McGuire is trying to push Kordic away but Kordic has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere.
McGuire definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Kordic prevents McGuire from breaking the clinch.
McGuire is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kordic is defending well for now.

McGuire pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

McGuire has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from McGuire there as he acknowledges the shot.

McGuire darts in and clinches Kordic up against the ropes.

McGuire tries to clinch there but Kordic circles away.
Kordic connects with a body shot that sends McGuire's belly button to the back.

Kordic uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by McGuire.
McGuire looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
McGuire takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kordic just misses with a punch to the body.

McGuire swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Kordic tests McGuire's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Kordic scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

McGuire moves into the clinch successfully.

McGuire's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

McGuire throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kordic misses with a head kick.
McGuire is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
A kick lands to the mid section there for McGuire.

It looks like John Kordic has been cut.
Kordic looks to land a left hand but McGuire moved out of range nicely.

A nice inside leg kick there by Kordic. That's going to slow McGuire down.
Kordic has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
McGuire tries to clinch up but Kordic circles away and keeps his distance.
McGuire is looking to wear down Kordic with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
McGuire tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kordic manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

McGuire moves in looking to clinch but Kordic pushes him off.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
McGuire wants to clinch up but Kordic keeps it at a distance.
Kordic takes a body punch but keeps moving.
McGuire connects with a right that clearly hurt Kordic. He's backed up against the ropes with nowhere to go as McGuire proceeds to tee off with vicious combinations till Kordic collapses and taps out under the pressure!
