Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between One Two (ranked 6297 p4p, 224 weight class) and Max Masteri (ranked 5438 p4p, 202 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Masteri!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice defenses there by Masteri.
Two really is a fat lump.
Masteri takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Masteri avoids the body shot from Two.
Two looks to land a combination but Masteri avoids it well.
Two misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Two stuffs the takedown attempt from Masteri. Masteri gets slowly back to his feet.
Two swings for the body but Masteri moves out of range.
Two throws a right and a left that both miss.
Two cracks a nice hook into Masteri's ribs.
Masteri takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Masteri darts in and clinches Two up against the cage.

Two looks to throw the jab but Masteri is out of range.
Masteri wants to counter with a clinch but Two pushes him away.

Masteri ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
One Two seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Masteri fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Two throws a poor cross that misses

and Masteri counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Two!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Two gets caught napping as Masteri dives in and scores a takedown. Two manages to retain guard.
Masteri wants to control from the top but Two keeps moving.

Masteri gets to his feet. Two looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Masteri jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Two walks away with a smile on his face. Masteri gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Two lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Two.


It looks like Max Masteri has been cut.

and Masteri holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Two wants to break free but Masteri has control.
Two is trying to push Masteri away but Masteri has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Masteri's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Two is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Masteri's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Masteri fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Two sprawls well initially but Masteri persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Masteri counters with a single leg into guard. Two didn't expect that.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Max Masteri.
