The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oubre connects with a right hand. Souza shakes it off.
Oubre fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Souza pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
It seemed like Oubre was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Souza fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Oubre lands a nice hook to Souza's body. Souza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Souza shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Oubre thuds a left hand into Souza's body.
Souza shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oubre defends it nicely.
Oubre doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oubre pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Souza back to the cage. Oubre follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Oubre bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Souza's head.
Brandon Oubre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Souza's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Oubre connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Souza scrambles back to his feet.

Oubre connects with a body shot that sends Souza's belly button to the back.
Souza takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Oubre manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronaldo Souza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Souza walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Oubre steps in with a hook that catches Souza right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Oubre follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Souza looks absolutely devastated.
