Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Olen Duncan (ranked 7054 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Mayers (ranked 5172 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayers moves into the clinch.

Mayers pulls guard effortlessly.
Mayers is pulling down on Duncan's head to control his posture.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mayers throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Duncan wants to control from the top but Mayers keeps moving.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mayers pulls Duncan in close to his closed guard and prevents Duncan from doing any damage or advancing position.

Mayers manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Mayers shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mayers showed some decent athleticism there.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duncan can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mayers controls the pace.

Duncan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mayers doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mayers manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Duncan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Mayers slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Mayers lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Duncan controls Mayers momentarily but Mayers frees himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Mayers works over Duncan with some ground and pound from guard.
Mayers's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Duncan is looking for a triangle but Mayers pushes his legs off easily.
Duncan is breathing heavily.
Mayers is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Duncan not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Duncan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mayers can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mayers controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Duncan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Mayers closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duncan quickly recovers to half guard.
Mayers landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mac Mayers dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mayers is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Duncan's half guard.
Duncan wants to stand back up but Mayers manages to pass into side control.
Duncan tries to bench press Mayers off him but Mayers keeps the position.
Mayers working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mayers is putting a hurting on Duncan here, landing some big shots from side control.
Duncan is rocked!
Mayers scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Duncan is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Mayers can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
