Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mako Akumba (ranked 1131 p4p, 180 weight class) and Sonny Ray Razor (ranked 2227 p4p, 320 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Razor's choice of entrance music: ONYX Feat. Biohazard - Judgment Night. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Razor throws out a loose jab but Akumba uses good head movement to avoid it.

Akumba is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Razor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Akumba counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Razor does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Razor closes the distance and clinches up with Akumba, looking for a takedown. Razor pushes Akumba against the cage but Akumba circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Razor takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Razor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Akumba defends well and Razor ends up having to push Akumba into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

It looked like Akumba wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Akumba has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Razor is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Akumba.

Razor walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Razor is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Akumba hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
