Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James Holden (ranked 5095 p4p, 0 weight class) and Flit Ashter (ranked 4999 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Flit Ashter!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Ben Watson and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holden fails with the takedown.
Ashter is looking for the big counter here.
Ashter moves out of range of the strikes.
Ashter unleashes a big counter combination but Holden bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Despite the aggression on Ashter's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Holden misses with a takedown attempt - Ashter sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As Holden backs off Ashter throws a huge counter combo but Holden manages to avoid it all.

Holden changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ashter tries to avoid it but Holden manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ashter to the ground. Ashter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Holden pulls guard effortlessly.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Well Ashter has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
