Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Gaylord Austin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Williams lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Austin really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Austin closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Williams gets control of Austin's arms and successfully pulls guard. Williams will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Austin is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Austin missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Austin throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Williams is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Austin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Williams is continuing to stall.
Austin lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Williams working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Austin doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Austin manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Williams has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Austin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Williams on the ground.

Williams is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Austin is aware though and is defending well.

Williams has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Austin should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Williams has tightened it up now! Austin should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
