Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike Leoni!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Leoni avoids the body shot from Guy.

Leoni drives through with a takedown into guard.
Leoni told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Guy wants to stand up but Leoni is controlling him.
Leoni slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Guy wants to get back to his feet but Leoni is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guy trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Leoni controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Leoni lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Guy cracks Leoni with an open hand slap.
Guy lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Leoni at a distance.
Guy stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Guy connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Leoni! He's out on his feet! Guy rushes in and drops Leoni with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Young Guy!
A relieved looking Young Guy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
