The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Kuznetsov. That's going to slow Rodrigez down.
Kuznetsov misses with a head kick.
Rodrigez goes for a double leg but Kuznetsov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kuznetsov continues to drive forward.
Kuznetsov throws a counter high kick but Rodrigez was just alert enough to avoid it.
Rodrigez moves in looking to clinch but Kuznetsov pushes him off.
Rodrigez wants to clinch but Kuznetsov slips to the side
and Kuznetsov counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Emanuel Rodrigez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigez darts in trying to clinch
and Kuznetsov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kuznetsov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Kuznetsov scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Kuznetsov! Rodrigez is out on his feet! Kuznetsov rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Rodrigez is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Rodrigez is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

A less than humble Nikolai Kuznetsov misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
Emanuel Rodrigez spoke after the fight, saying 'PUTA!!!'.
