Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lapu Lapu (ranked 667 p4p, 77 weight class) and Robin Gracie (ranked 1181 p4p, 127 weight class). Lapu comes to the cage accompanied by Noypi by Bamboo. Gracie has chosen Olha a Explosão as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Michael Johnstone and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Gracie misses the target.
Gracie throws out a loose jab but Lapu uses good head movement to avoid it.
Lapu forces Gracie back against the cage and clinches.
Lapu lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Lapu scores with a shoulder strike.
Gracie fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Gracie wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gracie tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lapu just stands there and leans against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Lapu.
Lapu softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Lapu scores with a nice hook to the head.
Gracie tries to throw a body punch but Lapu avoids it by throwing Gracie back against the cage.
Lapu lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Lapu scores with a hook to the body.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Gracie.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie tries a body shot but Lapu blocks it.

Gracie is trying to maintain a safe position but Lapu gets an underhook and turns Gracie into the cage.
Lapu pushes Gracie back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Gracie misses with a hook from the clinch.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Lapu has him pressed against the cage.
Lapu Lapu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robin Gracie.
Nice body punch from Lapu - that landed with a thud.
Lapu lands with a short shot to the head.
Lapu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
Gracie is trying to pull guard but Lapu turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Lapu manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Gracie.
Lapu lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Gracie tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Lapu is leaning against Gracie and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Gracie is rocked!
Lapu dips a shoulder and cracks Gracie with a mighty uppercut! Gracie falls back against the cage and Lapu unloads with a barrage of strikes! Gracie is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Lapu screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lapu Lapu!
Lapu Lapu retains his featherweight title!
An out of breath Lapu Lapu thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
