Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Don Gotti (ranked 1014 p4p, 126 weight class) and Karter Kinshaw (ranked 302 p4p, 33 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Gotti!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of New York, Karter Kinshaw!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gotti misses with a hook to the body
and Kinshaw counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Kinshaw is looking to clinch.
Kinshaw scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Kinshaw getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
We've been informed that Kinshaw has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Kinshaw swats away the attempt to clinch by Gotti.
Gotti throws a right and a left that Kinshaw avoids nicely.
Gotti slips under a jab.
Kinshaw misses with a looping right.
Gotti lands with a hook. Kinshaw tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gotti drops back looking for a leg! Kinshaw is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Kinshaw manages to kick Gotti off! Gotti jumps back into Kinshaw's guard.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Gotti walks into a jab.
Don Gotti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kinshaw leaves Gotti with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kinshaw looks for the body kick but Gotti saw that one coming.
Kinshaw on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Gotti goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Gotti looks to land a right hand but Kinshaw moved out of range.
Gotti pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Gotti has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Gotti looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Gotti throws a low kick but Kinshaw avoids it.
Gotti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Kinshaw moves into range and clinches up with Gotti.
Kinshaw gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Gotti.
Gotti jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kinshaw walks away with a smile on his face. Gotti gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Don Gotti. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kinshaw throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gotti lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kinshaw's sensitive parts.
Karter Kinshaw is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kinshaw with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gotti to score with a decent uppercut.
Gotti lands a jab.
Kinshaw throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Gotti.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Don Gotti will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Gotti is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kinshaw gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Gotti will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


A combination from Gotti does no damage.

The fighters circling - Kinshaw throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gotti pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kinshaw is out of range and Gotti settles back down.

Kinshaw throws the left hand but Gotti avoids the punch easily.

Gotti drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Gotti stands and throws Kinshaw's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Kinshaw tries to bench press Gotti off him but Gotti keeps the position.
Kinshaw is not content to let Gotti control the position.

Don Gotti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Karter Kinshaw has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Gotti has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Gotti controls Kinshaw momentarily but Kinshaw frees himself.
Kinshaw tries to free his leg and advance position but Gotti is retaining full guard.
Gotti bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kinshaw's guard.

Gotti is really struggling to control Kinshaw but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Kinshaw can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gotti controls the pace.
Kinshaw is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Kinshaw is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Gotti has managed to free his arm - good work.
Kinshaw slips a nice elbow through Gotti's hands, connecting with Gotti's forehead.
Kinshaw not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gotti manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Gotti manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kinshaw manages to get himself to full guard.


Kinshaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gotti gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Don Gotti.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gotti, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Don Gotti decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
